Welcome to Children Challenging Industry

The highly successful Children Challenging Industry (CCI) programme is aimed at teachers and children in primary schools, and science-based manufacturing companies in the UK. This website includes materials developed for the Primary Science Enhancement Programme, which substantially increased the resources available to schools.

The programme encourages the use of industrial contexts to enhance pupils' experience of Working Scientifically and subject knowledge in the UK science curricula.

Investigations tackle real problems that are encountered within science-based industries, reflecting more closely the way science is carried out in 'real life'. This approach improves children's motivation and understanding.
